The OACWA Seniors Program supports the wellbeing, inclusion, and active participation of African seniors across Western Australia. Guided by age-friendly principles and shaped by community voices, the program helps seniors stay connected, informed, and empowered. Through culturally responsive health education, service navigation support, social activities, and rights awareness, we address key challenges such as social isolation, health literacy, and access to essential services. With more than 120 seniors engaged in recent months, the program is strengthening community connections, improving wellbeing, and promoting dignity and independence in ageing.
