Isaac is a Lecturer in Political Science and International Relations at Curtin University. His research interests cover China-Africa relations broadly, peace and security in Africa, international security and migration. He is also an Associate Higher Education Academy (AFHEA) Fellow. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Ghana, Legon and a master’s degree in International Relations from Jilin University, China. Isaac is in the final stage of completing his PhD in International Relations.
Isaac has extensive experience, including teaching & research, community engagement, administration, banking and finance, relationship management, and a diverse range of international experience relevant to his role. He has attended and presented papers at international conferences. He has also been part of high-profile meetings discussing issues concerning the African Diaspora and conducted collaborative research with other researchers over the years. Before his new role at OACWA, Isaac served as the Vice Chairman of the Ghana Association in Western Australia. He volunteered in the planning and execution of a couple of community events.
As the Director of Research and Development for the OACWA, Isaac will lead a research team to support other departments within OACWA and the wider community. He has a passion for the youth and continues his commitment to helping them grow up to be responsible individuals. He has been part of the planning team that mentors the youth through seminars and camp meetings. Aside from his professional and academic career, Isaac is a Pastor and Leader of the Glory Life Prayer Ministry International (GLPMI) in Perth. As a leader and pastor, Isaac works with diverse communities to meet their spiritual, physical and social needs. He authorises two books – “Healing by His Stripes” and “Master Potter”. Isaac Brings a wealth of skills, experience and passion to the team.
