Catherine Amaechi
Catherine is a committed community advocate who has served the community since 2014 in mentoring/coaching, organising educational and awareness workshops for women advancement in their communities. She formed the women dancing group to support the celebration and nurturing of African values and arts within the African community.
Catherine’s constant commitment to championing positive cultural values in her community earned her the role of community cultural ambassador for the Peel Multicultural Association.
In this role, she has been able to support several local bi-cultural and bi-lingual people to better connect their communities to mainstream services and support.
Catherine’s enthusiasm for positive community growth led her to host several workshops on mental health, drugs and alcohol abuse, domestic violence and child abuse for the Multicultural Futures and City of Mandurah.
She is passionate about the community and goes all out in advocating for the community members.

Charles Salah
Charles is a passionate community unifier. His passion for the community was not deter when he had to take the chairmanship of the South Sudanese Equatorian Community of WA in a time the community was in a deep state of disunity. He is noted to have strongly bonded and successfully promoted harmony among the 9 Equatorian Communities in WA.
Charles successfully cofounded the Myway Community Alliance and the Federation of Equatorian Community in Australia (FECAA) Radio to educate, inform, teach, and engage the community on promoting harmony, culture and arts, and music.
Through his leadership, Equatorian community members continued to be involved in ongoing community development through workshops to learn and be informed. He instituted the cultural day, an annual cultural event that has trained and engaged the youth in positive cultural activities. Currently, members of the cultural groups are key participants of OACWA Jambo Africa, one of the biggest public event in Australia.
Charles is on the journey of documenting all the Equatorian Traditional Recipes and cultural practice for the youth of tomorrow with funding from Lottery West through Community Arts Network (CAN).
Charles is a compassionate community leader heavily involved in making sure that the community members are well informed and connected with their roots in all aspects.

Daniel Ngetich
Daniel is a zealous community advocate that is very much interested in the financial well being of the community members. His desire and devotion to this call led him to the formation of KADI Sacco, a Diaspora cooperative society for the Kenyan community to help in the financial/economic wellbeing of the community members. This idea is meant to redirect resources to more beneficial projects and engagements for better economic values of members in the future.
Daniel has established several community self-help groups for the growth of the community not only in Australia but also in Kenya, where he comes from originally. He has a foundation back in Kenya which supports the community members in diverse ways.
His role in the community has positively impacted several community members who had issues with drugs abuse, rare diseases, etc.
