Astrid Kapinga Tshidibu is the Founding Director of the BEYA Model Academy, a fashion and modelling school that mentors aspiring young adults to achieve success in the fashion industry. In 2017, she received the Outstanding Achievement in the Fashion Industry Award.
Determined to make the fashion industry more inclusive and diverse, Astrid empowers youth from diverse backgrounds to tell their own stories, embrace their cultures, and to be themselves. Astrid sees her role as one of advocacy and has appeared on various news and radio platforms to raise awareness about the importance of diversity in the fashion industry.
Astrid’s students and models have participated in a number of local, national, and international events, including Vancouver Fashion Week, the Telstra Perth Fashion Festival Multicultural Runway, the French Festival, NAIDOC Week, Melbourne Cup, Modest Fashion Australia, Face of Africa, and Brides of Asia.
Astrid is dedicated to enabling youth from diverse backgrounds to find success and take leadership roles in a challenging fashion industry.
Emma Assadi

Emma Assadi is a Support Facilitator with Richmond Wellbeing, a leading mental health organisation based in Perth. Through her work, she provides tailored mental health support to people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Emma is an active member of the community and is involved, in various capacities, with several organisations including the Fremantle Multicultural Centre, the Multicultural Women’s Health Centre, the William Langford Community House, and the City of Belmont’s Cultural Diversity Focus Group. Emma also supports people facing or experiencing homelessness.
An ethically-minded individual and worker, Emma is committed to achieving the best outcomes for communities and individuals facing mental health challenges.
Known for her professionalism and approachable demeanour, Emma strives to ensure that every individual has access to high-quality mental health support and services.
